Weatherization

Weatherizing keeps your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter by bolstering its protective shell.

Proper weatherization includes insulation, improving your windows and sealing any space where air may be leaking in or out. This buffer reduces the amount of energy required to keep your house at a comfortable temperature all year long. It also keeps unwanted noise and air pollution outside.

Many houses built before 1980 are not properly weatherized, which results in a significant loss of energy and money to high heating and cooling bills.

Does you home need weatherization?

If you can answer "yes" to any of the following questions, you should consider weatherizing your home.

Was your home built prior to 1980?
Does your house cool down quickly in the winter?
Does your furnace run a lot to maintain an even temperature?
Are your floors cold?
